I learned 2 bean-related things yesterday: 1 - kidney beans are poisonous raw; 2 - a fella I was chatting with thought beans are canned raw so never ate kidney beans straight from the can for fear of poison. I was heartened to share the good news that yes! kidney beans from a can is a safe and effective depression meal!
