It is amazing to me that some people seem to not understand that the water comes _up from below_ in the dishwasher, and will do stuff like load a bowl in completely on its side, such that the water will go ricocheting off the side, uselessly, never reaching the interior surface of the bowl, _which is the part you eat off of_.

If our housemate loads stuff into the dishwasher, it invariably is a complete waste of time -- it just means I have to un-load and re-load the stuff he did. :-/
