There was this peculiar game on the Apple ][e called Adventure Construction Set, and one of the two scenarios they included to demo the tools was based on the Gilgamesh myth. I got exposed to this when I was, I dunno, maybe 8 or 10 years old? So then I ended up researching the Babylonian mythos a lot in high school, and have retained an affinity for that stuff ever since. It's very under-appreciated compared to the Egyptian, Greek/Roman, and Norse myths.
This is the quality content I subscribe for. (The Dirtbag Epic of Gilgamesh remains one of my all-time favs.)
This might be some of your best work yet!
My husband walked in while I was reading this & laughing so hard I couldn't explain why. Thank you!!
I attempted to explain https://www.thechatner.com/p/dirtbag-gilgamesh-and-ishtar-tablet to my spouse at one point and they were _completely_ mystified as to why I love it so much.
