I’ve written recently about my intentions to increase substantially in ‘male shagginess’ in 2020, and much as I might like to confine myself to general beard updates (coming in slowly, patchily, looks worse on camera than in the mirror, etc), I can’t help but notice that every attempt to describe/apologize for/point out the defects of beard growth sounds like the pluckiest of all tomboy heroines who grew up to be right pretty, that eternal thorn in every transmasculine side,
Nice gender switching! I'm a huge fan of the books, as I've read them all, and seen the entire series starring Megan Follows as Anne, and the Netflix series Anne With An E. Both rocked.
I have been thinking lately that you are looking really great in pics and hoping that I may someday look similarly great. As someone who grew up reading all things Anne, this was so delightful to read. (Does this make me a transmasc stereotype?)
"Oh, I'm not ashamed of it," explained Anne, "only I like Cord-HE-lia better. I've always imagined that my name was Cord-HE-lia--at least, I always have of late years."
This is awesome, lol. I love your use of Anne's longwinded chatter. I feel like I sound like that constantly. Additionally, you, and your beard, patchy or not, look fantastic. Hopefully no one calls you "Carrots" for having a red beard. 😉
you look fucking awesome, btw! Anne with a He...you're a genius!

Me too!

this is the greatest thing and has turned my whole day around
As someone who almost compulsively reread the Anne series as a child, I am DELIGHTED by this post.
"Oh, I'm not ashamed of it," explained Anne, "only I like Cord-HE-lia better. I've always imagined that my name was Cord-HE-lia--at least, I always have of late years."
Thank you for helping me integrate my "Anne of Green Gables" girlhood into my masc adulthood :)

I would die for Anne-with-a-He <3
You've outdone yourself, what a sublime headcanon
From the scant bit I remember of Anne of Green Gables, the tone here is just... spot-on, and I love it, lol
I've just realized my entire transitioning inner monologue is Anne Green Gables. Daniel, please.
I don't have anything insightful to say but I like this a lot
