Congratulations, Danny! I hate the cliche "she let go of a breath she didn't know she was holding," but when I read that you still get to drive the big bus, I was she.
Congratulations, Danny! It so lovely to get a promotion and one that you want! After many years in office jobs, I've discovered that some promotions are more being strongarmed into positions one doesn't want, but this looks like an excellent fit!
Congratulations! You might want to check out SFCM (San Francisco Conservatory of Music) if you think that could be the sort of music that would go over well. They have grad student groups that do community outreach. (Or they did as of a few years ago.)
Also, if it helps, cyclospora can incubate for up to 2 weeks before starting symptoms, so what you just ate might not matter a ton. And if you get it, many cases are asymptomatic, which doesn't matter in your work role in terms of residence safety, siince it's non-contagious.
Also, I had it and I didn't like it, but it's not nearly as bad as norovirus. I found out that this is also something that world health authorities say about its severity, if that helps at all to know.
Congratulations! May your reign be magnanimous and your subjects adoring
oh congrats! it's so funny how nice news for someone i don't know can be genuinely brightening.
