Apologies if you already know this but the Hackney Carriages one is in fact a pun - a Hackney carriage is a taxi cab and the qualification required to drive one (memorising the map of London’s streets, which takes about 5 years on average) is referred to as “The Knowledge”. Whether that should make it rank higher or lower, I can’t say.
I did like the Knowledge pun! There are quite a lot of good puns throughout -- if I were to do it again, I might weigh that one more heavily, but I think I was hard to move on puns after a while.
uplifting collection, excellent ranking. your work is, as always, a delight. (i also wanted to tell you your book, “meeting new people”, ruined my life in a good way.)
Dunno if you're an Elden Ring fellow but Scriveners is close enough to the dramatic narrator's "ARISE, YE TARNISHED" that it automatically bumps up a ranking for me.

this is so great. salt really does season everything
For 108, they should say “We traditionally made utensils out of animal horns…and god loves us”
I’m not saying it’s true, but the management consultant one is actually amazing
