She was one of my favorites when I was in high school. I read Giant and So Big. I was just looking at them a few days ago during a visit to my parents’… now seeing your post, it must be a sign to become a Ferber completist!
Oh man, I also love 1930s literature but I have a fatal flaw of really disliking short stories and all my favorite writers wrote many because it was the thing to do and a moneymaker. I look forward to your recommendation for which Ferber novels to read!
